EDWARD JUVIER (Marcellus Washburn)
Edward is so excited to be back at STAGES where he last appreared as Sancho Panza in the 2005 production of MAN OF LA MANCHA. As an actor, Ed has appeared in the National tour and Broadway production of LES MISERABLES. New York credits include FANNY (York), TRIUMPH OF LOVE (Lincoln Center), and SMOKING BLOOMBERG (NYMTF). Some favorite regional/stock credits include THE PRODUCERS (Max), SLEUTH (Andrew), BAT BOY (Rick/Lorraine), and OKLAHOMA! (Jud). WHIT REICHERT (Mayor Shinn)
Whit is very excited to return to STAGES for his 9th season where some of his favorite roles include Moonface Martin in ANYTHING GOES, Van Buren in DAMN YANKEES, Mr. Biggley in HOW TO SUCCEED..., Mr. Maraczek in SHE LOVES ME, Everett Baker in CRAZY FOR YOU, and Pelinore in CAMELOT. A familiar face to St. Louis audiences, Whit has appeared at The Muny, The St. Louis Shakespeare Festival, The Black Rep, Historyonics, The Black Cat Theatre, and in 25 productions at The Rep. Regionally, Whit has performed at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Great Lakes Theatre Festival, Great Plains Theatre Festival, Riverside Theatre, Galveston Island Outdoor Musicals, and Casa Manana. GRETCHEN HEWITT (Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn)
Gretchen is excited to enter the wonderful world of musical theater with STAGES. In oratorio, and in concert she has appeared as a soloist in such works as Haydn’s “The Creation” (Seattle Pro Musica), Mozart’s “Requiem” (Everett Symphony), Bach’s “Christmas Oratorio” and Handel’s “Messiah” (Orchestra Seattle). With Tacoma Opera, her roles have included Frasquita in CARMEN, the First Lady in THE MAGIC FLUTE, and Frau Brenner in THE PIED PIPER OF HAMELIN. Returning to her St Louis roots, Gretchen has also appeared as a soloist with the St. Louis Youth Orchestra in Samuel Barber’s “Knoxville: Summer of 1915”. Gretchen has performed her song “Symphony of Brotherhood” in the Seattle Opera House, the King Center, and in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. [TOP]

PEGGY BILLO (Mrs. Paroo)
Peggy makes her STAGES debut with THE MUSIC MAN. Since arriving in St. Louis from Los Angeles last year, appearances have included REMNANT (Krist’n Taler) for Mustard Seed Theatre (Kevin Kline Nomination/Best Ensemble), VIEUX CARRE (Mrs. Wire) for Muddy Waters, and most recently as Lillian in BLUISH for The New Jewish Theatre. LA credits include BUNBURY (Ovation Nomination) and THE PAGANS at The Road Theatre, ANYONE CAN WHISTLE at The Matrix, and MAN OF LA MANCHA at The Rubicon. National tour credits include ANNIE (15th Anniversary) and THE STUDENT PRINCE. A proud member of AEA, Peggy thanks Michael for the opportunity to once again play one of her favorite musical ladies. DAVID SCHMITTOU (Charlie Cowell)
David is deee-lighted to be back at STAGES, his home away from home, for a 9th season. Recent credits include the Pulitzer Prize winning DOUBT at The Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach and HOLIDAY MEMORIES at Maples Rep. STAGES productions include THE FULL MONTY, CABARET, HELLO, DOLLY!, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, BIG – THE MUSICAL, SWEET CHARITY, SHE LOVES ME, and HIGH SOCIETY. THE MUSIC MAN is probably his favorite musical of all time so he's thrilled to be back in River City! [TOP]

JAKE PFARR (Tommy Djilas)

LINDSAY KRAEMER (Zaneeta Shinn)
Lindsay is thrilled to be making her debut at STAGES St. Louis in THE MUSIC MAN. Previous credits include the Prather’s Theatres tour of SWING!, Zaneeta Shinn in THE MUSIC MAN (Jenny Wiley Theater), and FOOTLOOSE (Jenny Wiley Theater). SPENCER MILFORD (Winthrop Paroo)
Spencer, a 7th grade student in Webster Schools, is thrilled to be making his STAGES debut this season. For the past few summers, he has been fortunate to appear at The Muny where previous roles include Michael Darling in PETER PAN and the Mayor of Munchkinland in THE WIZARD OF OZ. A Muny Kid for 3 years, Spencer has appeared in JOSEPH … DREAMCOAT, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, OLIVER!, and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. He has also performed with The Muny Kids chorus in JOSEPH … DREAMCOAT at The Fox and in ENCHANTMENT OF DREAMS with Opera Theatre St. Louis. Spencer is delighted to be a member of the inaugural TeamStages performing troupe, under the direction of Ben Nordstrom. He studies voice with Katie Kopff, acting with Landon Shaw, and dance with both Lara Teeter and Krupinski's Academy of Dance. BILL LYNCH (Traveling Salesman/Oliver Hix)
Bill is delighted to return to STAGES where he has worked as a company member since 1995. His last appearance here, as Reverend Moore in FOOTLOOSE, garnered him a Kevin Kline Award nomination. Since then Bill has appeared in critically acclaimed productions of NOISES OFF and URINETOWN – THE MUSICAL. Bill is Professor of Voice & Speech at Webster University’s Conservatory of Theatre Arts. He earned his BA in Theatre from the University of Maryland and an MFA in Acting from the Florida State University/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training. Bill has been a member of Actors’ Equity since 1989. [TOP]

STEVE ISOM (Traveling Salesman/Olin Britt)
Steve is very pleased to be returning for his 15th season at STAGES, where he has had the pleasure of playing a wide variety of roles including Lank in CRAZY FOR YOU, Edward Rutledge in 1776, Beef in GOOD NEWS, and Herbie in GYPSY. Steve most recently appeared as a Gangster in KISS ME KATE for The Repertory Theatre of St.Louis. He has performed with many other St. Louis companies including the Shakespeare Festival St. Louis, Imaginary Theatre Company, New Jewish Theatre, HotCity Theatre, TNT, and Historyonics. Steve is the Executive Director of the Professional Theatre Awards Council, the presenters of the Kevin Kline Awards. He is also a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and is very happy to be performing with his lovely daughter again. [TOP]

NIC THOMPSON

Nic is thrilled to be back with the STAGES family for another wonderful season! Past STAGES credits include CRAZY FOR YOU and CABARET. New York and Tour credits include THE RADIO CITY CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR, THE WHO’S TOMMY, and AIDA which he performed at the Metropolitan Opera House. Regional favorites include A CHORUS LINE (Bobby), CATS (Munkustrap), THE PRODUCERS (Springtime Tenor), and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (Fyedka). Nic has been seen in the independent film “Fixing Truth” and on television in “Law and Order: SVU”. He has also appeared in concert with Gladys Knight, Deborah Gibson, Billy Porter, and Mickey Mouse! JOHN FLACK

2008 marks John’s 18th season as an acting company member at STAGES St. Louis. Since performing here last year as Eugene Fodor in CRAZY FOR YOU, he has been busy acting in productions at many of St. Louis’ finest theatres including KINDERTRANSPORT at The New Jewish Theatre, DEATH AND THE KING’S HORSEMEN at The St. Louis Black Rep, RICHARD III at The St. Louis Shakespeare Festival, and MY ONE AND ONLY at The Muny. John was named “Best Actor in a Play - 2007” by the Riverfront Times for his portrayal of Quentin in Arthur Miller’s AFTER THE FALL. TRACY TANG (Laura Dunlop)
Tracy is excited to be making her STAGES debut and thanks Michael and Jack for the opportunity. An 8th grade honor student at Parkway Central and show choir member, Tracy also studies piano with Grace Yin and competes on Dance Inc’s Dazzling Line in jazz, tap, and lyrical dance. She has appeared in four Muny productions, the children’s chorus in JOSEPH at the Fox Theatre, and been a Muny Kids member since 2005. Tracy is grateful to STAGES, Grace Yin, Lee Nolting, and Dana Golio for their guidance. KYLE P. GUNBY (Linus Dunlop)
Kyle is excited to take part in his 2nd musical production at STAGES! He greatly enjoyed his last go-‘round in THE FULL MONTY which garnered a Kevin Kline Award nomination for Best Ensemble in 2007. Kyle is grateful to have the chance to perform regularly as a 15-year-old freshman at Parkway South High School. Any role he’s ever had is a favorite as long as he’s on stage. P. J. PALMER (Barney Hix)
P. J. is 14 years old and proud to be a part of THE MUSIC MAN cast. He is a member of TeamStages and was previously a member of The Muny Kids. P. J. has performed professionally with STAGES in the role of Oscar in GYPSY and in this season’s production of JOSEPH … DREAMCOAT. Favorite roles include Lewis Leonowens in THE KING AND I at The Muny (Kevin Kline Award nominee) and Noah Gellman in CAROLINE OR CHANGE (Woody Award nominee) at The Black Rep. He was also a member of the children’s chorus in JOSEPH at the Fox. PJ studies voice with Nance St James and dance at Krupinski Academy of Dance. DREW REDINGTON (Eddie Squires)
Drew is excited to be a part of STAGES this season! A 7th grader and honor roll student at North Kirkwood Middle School, Drew began performing at the age of four. Featured roles include leads in SUESSICAL (Characters & Company), OLIVER (Dayspring School of Arts), and AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS (Midwest Lyrical Opera). Drew has spent the last three years as a Muny Kid and has appeared in The Muny’s productions of AIDA, OLIVER, PETER PAN, and JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT. He studies dance at Krupinski Academy and acting with Carrie Houk. Drew would like to thank STAGES for this opportunity, his parents for their support, and God for his talent and desire to perform. MATTHEW HOWARD (Davey Locke)
Matthew is excited to be making his STAGES debut this season. A fourth grader at St. John Lutheran School in Ellisville, he has been acting since the age of seven – thanks to a start at Crestwood-Kirkwood Youth Theater. Matthew appeared as JoJo in SEUSICAL Jr. and Mike Teavee in CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY this past year. He has also appeared in JOSEPH … DREAMCOAT, 90 YEAROS OF MUNY MAGIC, and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF at The Muny. Matthew dances at Krupinski’s Academy of Dance. GABRIEL LAWTON (Gabey Djilas)
Gabriel is excited to be joining STAGES. An “Aussie” by birth and an 8th grader at Crossroads College Prep, he has been dancing ballet, jazz, modern, and tap at COCA since age 5. Gabriel is an inaugural member of COCA’s Ballet Eclectica and has danced in its LITTLE DANCER and SLEEPING BEAUTY. Locally, he has appeared in CARMEN, GLORIANA, and HANSEL AND GRETEL with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and FALSTEFF with Union Avenue Opera. Gabriel has also danced in SWAN LAKE at the Fox with Pittsburgh Ballet and THE NUTCRACKER at the Fox with the Joffrey Ballet. Most recently, Gabriel played the Jester in Crossroads’ production of ONCE UPON A MATTRESS. He thanks his wonderful COCA family as well as his other family at home for all their love and support.
